Primarily because there are many different reasons someone can develop pain in this region. ![]() Injuries to the groin can be difficult to diagnose and treat. 4 While the amount of athletes sustaining this injury is higher in sports such as soccer and hockey, they can still occur in any sport including weightlifting, powerlifting and CrossFit.
